LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

NICCAS Cultural Infusion Services offers a range of professional development and learning opportunities; these sessions are delivered online or onsite (in-person). 

 

We deliver workshops and learning opportunities across a variety of sectors and industries, developing the cultural capabilities of the organisation in becoming a culturally safe space for First Nations peoples to feel understood and included.

 

The methods offered for learning can include:

  • Tailored workshops

  • Cultural supervision

  • Cultural coaching; and

  • Cultural mentoring

  • Cultural education

  • Event facilitation

 

Our cultural educators have an extensive range of knowledge and wisdom, built from years of lived and professional experiences, forming high levels of emotional intelligence. First Nations educators are culturally accountable to the communities they represent, live, work and identify with; and are obligated to extend this accountability to their customers as a form of measuring the effectiveness of the learnings obtained from the educational activity provided. 

 

Reciprocity is a critical aspect when engaging with NICCAS learning opportunities; whereby, being guided by our narrative approach in storytelling to demonstrate ways to build rapport and form trust with First Nations peoples, communities and businesses using the method of story sharing.

Acknowledgement of Country

NICCAS Cultural Infusion Services pays respect to the Traditional Custodians and their Elders, past, present and emerging, who have been the caretakers of the many First Nations Countries we are privileged to live and work.

 

We recognise that all the traditional First Nation Countries have their own Dreaming, and as the keepers of the cultural knowledge, respect the leadership role Traditional Custodians play in preserving, protecting and passing on this knowledge to their children, whereby, emphasising the importance of maintaining the culturally inherited connections to the land and the cultural obligations of being a Traditional Custodian.

 

NICCAS Cultural Infusion Services is located on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. We pay respect to their Elders, past, present and future and acknowledge the presence of their people’s fighting spirit embedded across these lands.
